Sober-Curious Woman: Holiday Practices

Thursday, Dec 16, 5.30pm pst. Zoom class - Free of charge!

  • Online Meetup

Service Description

Do you find yourself drinking more than you intend over the holidays? Are you curious about being more mindful with regard to holiday triggers and substances? The holidays can be a loaded time for people. Whether you celebrate or not, this time of year can really highlight stress, grief, relationship challenges and trauma. Alcohol and other substances can help us numb ourselves in these situations, and although it seems to help at the time, it can also make us feel worse. The effects of alcohol can make our bodies and our moods feel worse. Alcohol can inhibit our choices to move our bodies and other feel-good coping strategies. But you know all this. What you might not know, is how to approach this season with curiosity and kindness. Join E.B. Ferdig, yoga therapist & alcohol/ coach for this free workshop on how to start to hold space for observing your attitudes, habits, triggers and cravings over the holidays. This is not a “quit drinking” course, but rather a small step in bringing mindfulness into a time that can be ripe for exploration and practice.
