Seasonal Rhythms: Welcoming the Longest Night If you have had enough of getting caught up in the holiday have-tos and social obligations, give yourself the gift of this workshop. We will reacquaint ourselves with the power of stillness as we orient ourselves to this season of winter. As we enter the long darkness of winter, we have an opportunity to embrace the quiet and the dark in a way that allows us to soak up the space and reorient toward what is important in our lives. Class will consist of gentle, breath-oriented movements and restorative yoga poses interspersed with reflection, journaling and guided meditation. You will leave deeply relaxed and oriented toward immersing yourself in the deep and slow rhythm of winter, and receiving the gifts of dark days. Come prepared with comfortable props: an eye pillow or washcloth, 2 blankets, 2 pillows or bolsters, a journal or something to write with, and candles or dim lighting. Leigh is a co-founder of Unfold, and has been teaching yoga and meditation for over 10 years. She is inspired by the flow of life and how everything can lead us back to the love that is at the center of our being alive in this time and place.
