Join this weekly practice of metta, or loving-kindness meditation. It will feature a guided meditation that helps you connect with your own inherent loving-kindness. We practice directing simple, but powerful well-wishes toward ourselves and toward others. This helps us develop our natural compassion for ourselves and others. This traditional Buddhist practice helps us to feel empowered by knowing that this is something practical we can do, even in the face of difficult times, when we may feel helpless to change the world or our circumstances. This 60-minute includes a short dharma talk (topic-driven exploration), meditation practice, reflection, journaling and discussion.
