Laura brings kindness and humor to her classes, and enjoys teaching people new to yoga as well as those with more experience. She specializes in teaching people who are interested in giving their analytical brains, inner critics and inner crisis managers some well-deserved rest to make room for their whole selves – body, mind, heart and soul.
Laura began practicing yoga movement, breath and meditation in her 20s. She practiced on and off over the next two decades, but devoted most of her time to her work as a health care policy analyst and advocate for social change. At midlife, Laura returned to yoga more fully, finding it helped her discover a sense of calm within the storm of these challenging political times, feel more connected to her whole self and better able to connect with others from a place of integration and compassion.
Laura enrolled in Unfold’s Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2018 and became a Yoga Alliance RYT 200-hour certified teacher in 2019.
