Setting Up Your Space
Unfold is an online movement studio dedicated to supporting the unique needs of people in midlife. Our mission is to provide an unconditionally welcoming environment where yoga and strength training are made accessible to every body.
We’ve evolved our focus to address the specific physiological shifts of midlife—including muscle and bone loss, joint health, back pain, and balance—to ensure you stay resilient and independent for years to come.
Getting Set Up:
To get the most out of your practice, we recommend having a few key pieces of equipment ready:

For Strength & Dumbbell Classes: We recommend starting with a set of 8 lb dumbbells. If you would like to have two sets available, consider adding 12s or 15s. If you are unsure which weight is right for you, please email us with more details about your current situation and we’ll be happy to guide you.

For Yoga Classes: Most classes require a yoga mat, a firm blanket (or bolster), and a strap.

For Yin/Restorative Yoga: In addition to the standard props, you will want to have several extra pillows nearby to fully support your body in these deep-rest poses.
