Join Micki Josi for this weekly Yoga of 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR) gathering. Each online session begins with a 50-minute 12-Step discussion meeting on Zoom, followed by a 10-minute break, then a 40-minute guided yoga practice focused on strength and balance. Y12SR offers a unique and empowering approach to recovery by combining the practical tools of 12-step programs with the embodied practices of yoga. We weave together movement (asana), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation to explore addiction and healing through the lens of the body-mind connection. It is a rich and powerful framework designed to inspire compassionate awareness, change and healing. We meet weekly to use the tools and principles of the 12-step program and yoga to address the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of addiction. Whether you're new to yoga or your recovery journey, or you're well along your way, this is a supportive place to show up exactly as you are. This offering is free.
